Bible Translation

We went to church irregularly growing up. Sometimes we would go for months at a time. Then we would stop for months at a time. Before my parents divorced we went to Baptist churches. After the divorce, my sister and I would attend a Methodist church with our grandparents. After we moved out of my grandparents house, we attended a Presbyterian church in Haysville with an aunt and uncle. After that, we did not attend church from the time I was around 15 until I was around 19 or 20. I began attending a Lutheran church with my mother and stepdad. I attended for around a year and then it was sporadic for a couple of years and then I attended every Sunday for the next couple of years before I quit going altogether. Why? Simple answer: I just wanted to sleep. In reality, just was not feeling the church anymore.

With that being said, did I lose my faith in God? Not really. I questioned my faith just like everyone does. If someone tells you they have never, not once questioned their faith, they are lying. People I have spoken with have let it be known they have questioned their faith at one time or another. Do I question my faith in God now? No. I firmly believe 1oo% that I am going to heaven. I believe in God’s word according to the Bible – King James version.

Now with all that being said, there are a few things I want to touch upon.

  • Adam and Eve
  • Two genders
  • Abomination
  • Bible Not Real

Adam and Eve

The Bible clearly states that God created man and from man – woman. There is no mention of any other gender being created. For more information click here. God created Adam from dust. Eve created from a rib from Adam.

Genders

According to the Bible there are only two genders. You are born male or female. You are not born male and then later you want a sex change because you think you feel you are female or born female and feel like you should be male. So ludicrous. Ridiculous. God does mot make mistakes as some people are claiming. We are born with sin in our heart. It is a sin to change what God has made you. That is what people have lost sight of. That God made you and it is sin to change your gender. God says not to disfigure yourself. Not with tattoos, not with shaving your face although most men do, not with cutting your hair as most men and a lot of women do. It is all sin, not God’s mistake.

Abomination

The Bible says in Leviticus 18:22, no matter which versions of the Bible. Click here for the Bible versions. The Bible does speak of homosexuality and clearly states that God tells us it is a sin.

Today’s society wants to retranslate the Bible to fit their lifestyle. This way they can keep practicing homosexuality without feeling guilty or feeling as if they are sinning. So, they are going to translate the Bible incorrectly. They say that the King James version is not translated correctly, but if you look at other versions of the Bible they all state the same – homosexuality is an abomination – a sin. It is this all-inclusive, tolerant of everything, no standing up for values or morals, that is allowing homosexuality to be the norm – to be ok, to be accepted. Now they want to change the translation of the Bible to fit this. Our free speech is gone for we can not speak against this without being labeled as haters. It is not hate, it is the values and morals I was raised to believe in and hope I raised my kids with the same values and morals. This one really gets under my skin. The whole changing God’s word to fit society’s ideals today. I feel so sorry for the future generations for when they find out how wrong they are.

Bible Not Real

People are now saying that the flood didn’t happen. That Moses did not part the Red Sea. No burning bush. They now say the Bible is not real. Not everyone. But there are a lot of people – scientists, archeologists, and so forth. People are now beginning to turn to the other idea of how the universe was created – the big bang theory and we are descended from apes or whatever – the theory of evolution. We are commanded by God not to sin, but we will and will continue to do so since the time of Adam and Eve and the first sin. But we can try not to sin, but since homosexuality is a sin, and they continue to sin, then they are ignoring God’s word. Sorry, but this is the way I believe. These are my values and morals. For the record, when I say homosexuality, I am including all the different types of homosexuality – gay, lesbian, bi, and whatever else there is.
